Set up your business profile
Create your SolvingESG account and complete your business profile in under five minutes. Select your industry sector, company size, and the frameworks your buyers or lenders are asking about.
The platform uses your profile to pre-filter the compliance dashboard, showing only the regulations and frameworks that are relevant to your business. A UK manufacturer with 30 employees sees different obligations than a professional services firm with 8 staff.
- No technical setup required — sign in with your existing email address.
- You can update your profile at any time as your business grows or your buyer requirements change.
- Your data is stored securely in the UK and never shared with third parties.

Add your suppliers
Build your supplier register by adding each supplier's name, sector, country, and primary contact. SolvingESG automatically assigns a risk tier (Low / Medium / High) based on sector and geography.
For most SMEs, the supplier list is the starting point for every ESG questionnaire a buyer sends. Having it structured in one place means you can respond to new buyer requests in minutes rather than days.
- Import existing supplier lists via CSV — no need to re-enter data manually.
- Risk tiers are based on internationally recognised sector and country risk indices.
- Suppliers can be invited to complete their own ESG questionnaire directly via email.

Send and manage ESG assessments
Create an ESG assessment for any supplier or for your own business. Choose from pre-built templates (GHG, CSRD, SA8000, ISO 14001, EcoVadis) or build a custom questionnaire.
When a buyer sends you an ESG questionnaire, you can map their questions directly to your existing assessment responses — so you never answer the same question twice. Automated reminders chase suppliers who have not responded by the deadline.
- Pre-built templates are aligned to the frameworks your UK buyers are most likely to ask about.
- Assessments can be assigned to individual suppliers in bulk.
- All responses are version-controlled — you can see what changed between annual cycles.

Upload and manage evidence documents
Store all your compliance evidence — certificates, policies, audit reports, GHG verification statements — in one place. Each document is linked to the relevant assessment question.
When a buyer asks for evidence, you can share a read-only stakeholder link rather than emailing PDFs. The link shows only the documents and scores the buyer needs to see, with no access to your wider account.
- Documents are stored with expiry date tracking — you are alerted before a certificate lapses.
- Supported formats: PDF, Word, Excel, and image files.
- The stakeholder link can be revoked at any time.

Prepare for EcoVadis and buyer ratings
The EcoVadis Readiness module walks you through all 33 EcoVadis questionnaire topics, scores your current position across the four pillars (Environment, Labour, Ethics, Procurement), and identifies the gaps with the highest score impact.
EcoVadis is the most widely used supplier ESG rating in the world. A score of 45+ is increasingly required to qualify for FTSE 250 supplier frameworks. The Gap Analysis tab shows exactly which questions to prioritise to reach your target score.
- The Action Plan tab generates a prioritised to-do list based on your gap analysis.
- The Benchmark tab shows how your score compares to industry averages.
- Export a PDF readiness report to share with your sustainability advisor or board.

Share your compliance status
Generate a read-only stakeholder link to share your compliance dashboard with a bank, investor, or large customer. They see your framework scores, certificate status, and supplier risk summary — nothing else.
This replaces the common practice of emailing spreadsheets and PDFs to every buyer who asks. One link, always up to date, revocable at any time. Included at every subscription level.
- The stakeholder view is branded with your company name, not SolvingESG.
- You control exactly which sections are visible to each stakeholder.
- Links expire automatically after 90 days unless renewed.
Connecting SolvingESG to your existing systems
If your business already uses accounting software, an ERP system, or a procurement platform, SolvingESG can connect to it automatically. This means your supplier ESG data flows into your existing reports without any manual copying or exporting.
Accounting software
Link supplier compliance status to your accounts payable records. See at a glance which suppliers are compliant before approving invoices.
Procurement platforms
Automatically flag suppliers whose ESG scores have dropped below your threshold when raising new purchase orders.
Reporting tools
Export your compliance data directly into Excel, Power BI, or your board reporting pack — no manual data entry required.
System integration is available on Level 3 and Level 4 plans. If you are unsure whether your existing software can connect to SolvingESG, contact us and we will check for you — no technical knowledge required on your part.
This is not a one-time task
Buyer ESG requirements are reviewed and tightened every year. Certificates expire. New frameworks come into force. SolvingESG tracks all of this automatically — alerting you before a deadline is missed and showing you exactly what needs to be updated for the next annual cycle.
